The mission of the DeSoto Trail Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to support and enhance the educational experience of students by fostering collaboration between parents, teachers, and staff. Through volunteer efforts, fundraising, and community engagement, the PTO aims to provide resources, programs, and opportunities that promote student success and a strong school community.

Meet your PTO Board Members
I’ve been on the PTO Board for 6 years and this will be my third year as President. I have two kids, a former Trailblazer and a current Trailblazer. Outside of the PTO, I am a full time Realtor with Hill, Spooner, and Elliott.
This will be my third year on the PTO as vice president and I look forward to finding more ways to serve our families and teachers in 2025-2026. I feel very fortunate that my 3rd grader and 5th grader are part of the Trailblazer family, and hope that my role on the board can help other families feel the same warmth and community that I feel when I’m on campus.
I am so proud to serve as Treasurer for the DTES PTO this year! I have volunteered at DTES since 2011 when my oldest started kindergarten in Mrs. Owen’s class. I am the parent of three children—two DTES graduates and one current 5th grader. Over the years, I have enjoyed being involved in many school activities, with TFA and Science Olympiad holding a special place in my heart. I am so excited to bring my experience and enthusiasm to the board and look forward to a fantastic year supporting the DTES community!
This is my third year serving on the PTO board as Secretary. My Trailblazers are in 3rd grade and Pre-K here at DeSoto! I started volunteering and was overwhelmed with how wonderful the Trailblazer family is! I am grateful to serve in this role and hope I can facilitate the same environment for other Trailblazer families while helping our students have their best elementary years and our teachers/ staff the support they need. Looking forward to a wonderful year!
After a really fun year volunteering, I am excited and grateful to join the PTO Board! My daughter’s kindergarten year was better than I ever imagined thanks to the amazing DTES teachers, staff, and PTO events, so I am looking forward to being able to contribute to the Trailblazer traditions that make DeSoto Trail so special.
With a daughter entering 7th grade, I have been volunteering on campus since 2018. Maintaining a flexible work schedule has always been important to me so that I could prioritize supporting our Trailblazer Teachers and Staff. I look forward to a great year of supporting our DTES volunteers serve in their role on campus!
I’m excited to learn and grow as a volunteer coordinator. I have a trailblazer in second grade, a future trailblazer and I myself was a trailblazer. I look forward to supporting our teachers, staff, and all of our students during the year. I hope to spread joy and inclusion for all our wonderful trailblazer families and create lasting memories in 2025-2026!
The kinship between the parents, teachers and local community at DeSoto are what have made my 2nd and 4th graders’ elementary experiences so wonderful. I look forward to my 5th year as the Business Coordinator on the DTES PTO and look forward to seeing everyone around on campus!
I am a first-grade teacher here at DeSoto Trail and this is my 3rd year serving as the PTO Staff Liaison. I have 3 boys, two former Trailblazers and a third grader. As both a parent and now staff member, this marks my tenth year as a part of the Trailblazer family. I truly believe in the importance of integrating staff, families, and the community to ensure our students’ success. Looking forward to another outstanding year ahead!
