The purpose of this PTO shall be to fulfill the following roles:
1. Promote the welfare and education of the students of DeSoto Trail Elementary School, the home, the school, and the community.
2. Strengthen the relationship between the school and students’ families so that they can work together to provide educational experiences best suited to the needs of each student.
3. Develop an environment in which the school and community can work together to ensure that students enjoy the best in physical, social, and mental education opportunities.
4. Operate exclusively for the educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.
*This organization is created and operated exclusively for nonprofit purposes, and no part of the net earnings shall be used for the benefit of any member.
